‘Fear in its highest form is love.’
‘Fear in its highest form is love.’ Inspired by the book ‘Conversations with God.’
I had to really sit with this one today. It's such a powerful way to see fear in a different light.
We live in a world of duality we cant experience light without darkness, hot without cold. You can't truly experience one without the other. And fear is no different. Think of the stories of mothers finding superhuman strength to lift a car off their trapped child. That is fear in its highest form: pure love.
We don't need to beat fear. We can understand its role, and stop demonising or avoiding it. I hope you come to experience this way of seeing this now.
'Excuses are the foundation for failure and stagnation'
Excuses are the foundation for failure and stagnation.
Here's the uncomfortable truth: an excuse feels safe. It lets us off the hook and shields us from the risk of trying and falling short. Repeated often enough, it quietly becomes the ground a stuck life gets built on.
The good news? The moment you take your power back from just one excuse, things start to move.
‘How Can a Dream Come True If You Never Let Yourself Have One?’
'How can a dream come true if you never let yourself have one?'
How can a dream come true if you never let yourself have one?
So often it isn't the dream that's out of reach — it's that somewhere along the way we quietly decided we don't deserve one. So we settle for the familiar, even when the familiar is costing us dearly.
Give yourself permission first. The "how" can come later.
‘Just because you make mistakes doesn’t mean you are a mistake.’
Just because you make mistakes doesn’t mean you are a mistake.
You will get things wrong. That’s being human — not being broken. The mistake is an event, not an identity, and the sooner we separate the two the gentler we get with ourselves.
What’s one mistake you’ve finally stopped punishing yourself for?
’You service the ute. You maintain the tools. When did you last service the one running them?’
You service the ute. You maintain the tools. When did you last service the bloke running them?
We keep everything else running — the gear, the truck, the job. But the one person we never book in for a service is ourselves.
You're not made of steel. You just get treated like you are — mostly by yourself.
‘Like a computer with fifty tabs open, everything slows down. Now count the tabs you have open in your mind. Past, Present and Future. Which ones can you close today?’
Like a computer with fifty tabs open, everything slows down. Now count the tabs you have open in your mind. Past, Present and Future. Which ones can you close today?
Too many open tabs and the whole system lags — minds work the same way. Closing a few is how you get your speed back, your clarity and escape the prison of your mind.
Which mental tab could you close today?
